Blocked gutters are the cheapest problem on your property to fix and one of the most expensive to ignore. We vacuum the sludge out and flush every downpipe, so the rain has somewhere to go.
In Far North Queensland a gutter does not fill with dry leaves. It fills with a wet, heavy organic sludge — leaf litter, bark, roof grit and windblown seed, sitting in standing water and composting. It holds moisture against the back of the gutter and the fascia behind it for months at a time, and that is where the rust and the rot start.
Then the wet season arrives and asks that gutter to move a genuinely serious volume of water in a very short time. Where it can’t, it does the only thing left: it backs up over the front lip, or worse, over the back one — behind the fascia, into the eaves, and inside. Add a full downpipe and the whole system is decorative.
It is also a mosquito problem, which in this part of the world is not a footnote. Standing water in a gutter breeds mosquitoes for as long as you leave it there.

The difference between a gutter clean and a good gutter clean is where the mess ends up. Hand-scooping wet sludge means it goes over the side — onto the beds, the paths, the pool, and the walls you may have just paid someone to wash. Vacuum extraction takes it off the roof and into the truck.
Then every downpipe gets flushed and checked for flow, because a clear gutter feeding a blocked downpipe is still a blocked system. Where a downpipe won’t clear, you get told about it and shown why, rather than discovering it in the first real storm.
Wet sludge, leaf litter, roof grit and nesting material, taken off site rather than off the edge.
Every downpipe on the property run and confirmed clear.
The parts that block first and cause the most damage when they do.
Where guard is fitted and can be lifted safely to clean underneath it.
The tiger-striping on the outside face, cleaned while we’re there.
Rusted-through sections, split joints and sagging brackets get photographed and handed to you. We don’t repair them.
We’ll lift and reinstate what’s there. Fitting new guard is a different trade.
Rot behind the gutter is a builder’s job, and we’ll say so plainly.
Nesting material comes out. Stopping it coming back needs a qualified installer.
Re-pitching gutters, moving downpipes or altering stormwater is licensed plumbing work.
We book work in and do it properly. We’re not an emergency service.
What you get instead of a repair quote is a photo set of exactly what we found, which is what your roof plumber will ask for anyway.
While the gutters are being cleared, the rest of the roof is right there. What gets noticed gets photographed.
Where a gutter has been holding water long enough to eat through, you’ll see the photo before you see the invoice.
Gutters that hold water even when clear have a pitch problem, not a debris problem. Worth knowing which one you have.
Where the water actually goes once it leaves the downpipe — into stormwater, a tank, or the middle of your garden bed.
Tank-fed downpipes are isolated before flushing so nothing goes into your drinking water.
Lifted sheets, cracked tiles and failing flashing are all visible from the gutter line, and all get photographed.
Roof pitch, brittle sheeting and anchor points assessed before anyone steps up. Some roofs get worked from a ladder only, and that’s the right answer.
Straightforward, and best booked before the sky opens rather than after.
Single or double storey, roof type, and whether there is gutter guard fitted.
Gutter runs are worked out from satellite imagery for most residential properties. Complex or commercial roofs get a look in person.
In writing, naming the runs, the downpipes and whether guard removal is included.
Pitch, footing and anchor points checked on arrival, then the state of the gutters is photographed.
Debris vacuumed out, downpipes run and confirmed flowing, exterior face washed down.
Including photos of anything found up there that you’ll want to show someone else.

Once a year covers most properties, timed ahead of the wet season. Under heavy tree cover, twice a year is more realistic — a gutter under a poinciana fills far faster than one on an open block.
No, and that is the point of vacuuming rather than scooping. Debris comes off the roof into the truck and leaves with us rather than landing in your beds.
You get photos of it. We are not certified to give you professional advice on a repair, so what we hand over is the evidence, in a form your roof plumber can act on.
Yes, and it is usually the better value visit. Gutters get cleared first so the roof wash has somewhere to drain to.
Yes, up to three storeys. Above that we stop — that is a liability ceiling we hold to rather than a question of whether the ladder reaches.
